BioHello my name is Katie and I'm 23 years old. I recently moved back to the SF Bay Area and am now working in the fashion industry as a Textile Lab Tech.
This is my ball jointed doll and to a lesser extent a gothic lolita fashion LJ. I decided to make a seperate LJ for my love of ball jointed dolls since many of my friends on my regular LJ have no interest in them :P This will mostly be a place of picture posts and will not go into many details about my life. A little about me, I've been collecting BJDs for about three years now, since the summer of 2005. But I've been a fan of dolls and other collectables much longer. Before BJDs I was a big fan of anime, that's sort of subsided for the most part now but my love of Japanese culture has never waivered. Before I collected BJDs I collected Blythe dolls which I was drawn to because of all the beautiful photography and customization I had been seen on the internet. One day at a Blythe meet-up someone brought a BJD (I believe it was a Luts Soo) and I was instantly drawn to the life like proportions and ease of customization. My first doll was my Volks Nono who was partially paid for by my mom as a birthday present :)
